Changing Filters
c.os.cue.006

When you explore or think about a subject, you use some filters consciously or unconsciously. Your brain cannot absorb an infinite amount of information, and any filter you apply is aimed at making the processing of information more effective.
At the same time, a filter masks many aspects of the subject by definition. Actively Applying Different Filters and seeing the subject differently is likely to result in surprising insights.
reflective questions
Think of a challenge, an opportunity, or an experience you had in the past week.
- Which filters I saw the subject through?
- How did the filters I consciously or unconsciously used affect my insights?
- Can I revisit the issue and explore it using a different filter?
- What would help me to proactively use multiple filters in a future event?
